Combine Yoga & Naturalist Programs

—————————————————————————————————————————————————

Yoga promotes the healing of, understanding of, and connection to your own body. Earth Mentorships naturalist programs promote the healing of, understanding of, and connection to the Earth, the body we all live on. There is no healing the Earth without healing ourselves and there is no healthy us without a healthy Earth. The two skill sets and ways of life make great compliments to each other and thus we have teamed up with Hatha Yoga instructors Wendy Martin of Sacred Breath Yoga and Brooke Stevens of Gaia Breath Yoga to bring you a program that bridges the two realms of Earth wisdom; At Home in Your Body, At Home in Nature & At Home in Your Body, At Home in the Wild. At Home in The Wild, At Home in Your Body

- Yoga and Wilderness Awareness Canoe Trip -

This trip will provide the opportunity for hands on learning within nature and through the practice of yoga. Participants will have an active role in all preparation, packing and planning our trip into Algonquin Park. We will be learning about navigation, both with compass and maps, stars and aid less. We will walk through plant recognition, animal tracking, and the local ecology, flora and fauna. We will indulge in a night time paddle under the stars and wilderness
crafts around the fire. The art and ceremony of harvesting and
preparing wild teas will bring us closer and deeper into the
understanding of living with the land. Daily yoga classes will
give us the opportunity to tune into and explore our full range
of motion, releasing tension as it arises as well as celebrating and
working with our natural wake sleep cycle and circadian rhythms.
This trip will provide many opportunities for learning, exploring,
understanding and most of all deep peace and connection.
